Too often we confuse our prayer as a sort of call for help. In this place, where our feelings, disappointments, hurt anger, we occupy it not only with our immediate concerns.
Hallowed be thy name is an interesting choice of Words in the beginning. When think of something hallow, it’s solid, with empty space inside.
Consequently, the Lord’s Prayer is an emptying of all the things that burden us (debt, sustenance, unforgiveness, etc).
The Lord’s Prayer is an appeal to the hollowness or rather the Holiness of God,
Acknowledging that his name alone is absent anything other than perfection.
